Product description

MANNOL ATF SP-IV is a low-viscosity synthetic gear oil for automatic transmissions, formulated with an additive package for Hyundai 6-speed automatic transmissions.

It was designed based on the requirements of Korean automakers.

Performance and protection

• The low-viscosity synthetic base, paired with a consistent high viscosity index and a multifunctional additive package, is intended to hold its properties across a wide temperature range — supporting lubrication at temperatures as low as -45°C in winter, a stable oil film under extreme loads and summer temperatures, and the antifriction properties needed if the oil film is interrupted under heavy load. Intended to protect friction surfaces from wear and sticking, and reduce friction energy losses.
• The additive combination is intended to provide antifriction properties for gearing and friction properties for friction elements, supporting fuel economy and smooth gearshifts without jerking, and to extend the service life of transmission elements.
• Intended to support smooth, reliable clutch operation, extend friction-element service life, and reduce wear by limiting slippage of torque-converter contact elements during mode changes.
• Thermal-oxidative and chemical stability, plus resistance to high-temperature degradation over the full life cycle, is intended to minimize sludge, varnish, soot, and carbon deposits — supporting longer oil-change intervals and durability of transmission parts, which is intended to reduce maintenance costs.
• Intended to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts from corrosion both during operation and while inoperative.
• Intended to resist aeration and foaming.
• Intended to be compatible with sealing materials, limiting swelling, hardening, and shrinkage to reduce spare-parts costs and prevent leaks.
• Intended to remove heat from rubbing surfaces.
• Intended to reduce operating noise.

Applications

Recommended for the latest-generation automatic transmissions from Hyundai and Kia, and for automatic transmissions in passenger cars and commercial vehicles from European manufacturers meeting the listed specifications. Also suitable for Proton and Chery gearboxes. Color: red.
