Product description
MANNOL ATF CVT is a synthetic transmission fluid for continuously variable transmissions (CVTs).
It was developed for use in continuously variable transmissions with a rigid articulated chain or a steel pull chain.
The fluid supports smooth CVT operation, wear control, transmission service life, and fuel economy.
Performance and protection
- The high-viscosity synthetic base, paired with a high viscosity index and a multifunctional additive package, is intended to hold its properties across a wide temperature range — supporting lubrication at temperatures of -45°C and lower, and a stable oil film under extreme loads and high summer temperatures.
- The additive combination is intended to provide friction properties for the chain, supporting fuel economy, continuous and smooth shifting, and extended service life of transmission elements.
- Intended to be compatible with sealing materials, limiting swelling, hardening, and shrinking to reduce spare-parts costs and prevent leaks.
- Thermal-oxidative and chemical stability, plus resistance to high-temperature degradation, is intended to reduce lacquering, sludge, soot, and carbon deposits — supporting longer intervals between oil changes and reduced maintenance costs.
- Formulated with inhibitors intended to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts from corrosion both in and out of operation.
- Intended to resist aeration, foam formation, and cavitation, with cooling properties.
- Intended to have low evaporation loss.
- Intended to reduce operating noise.
Applications
CVT fluid selection depends on the type of variable-speed gear rather than the vehicle make — a professional fitment check is required. MANNOL reports the fluid has been used in Autotronic Mercedes-Benz Class A and B gearboxes and in continuously variable automatic transmissions (Multitronic) in Audi vehicles. Color: yellow-brown.
Confirm the transmission manufacturer’s fluid specification before selecting — do not select by vehicle make alone.
