MANNOL Energy Formula PD SAE 5W-40 API SP is a universal energy-saving ester-containing fully synthetic motor oil for modern diesel engines (including those with direct injection) and gasoline engines with and without turbocharging, including engines equipped with pump nozzles (Pumpe-Duse).

Designed based on VW and DAIMLER requirements.

Performance and protection

• Ester components are intended to give anti-seize, anti-wear, and anti-friction properties.
• Detergent and dispersant properties combined with thermal-oxidative stability are intended to counter deposits and keep engine parts clean through the oil-change interval.
• Supports fuel economy through reduced high-temperature (HTHS) viscosity and anti-friction properties.
• Ester components combined with the synthetic base are intended to support low-temperature engine starting through cranking and pumpability, reducing engine starting wear, and to support efficient operation across modes — cold start, urban driving, highway driving, increased load, and high ambient temperatures.
• High thermal-oxidative stability is intended to resist aging.
• Compatible with all exhaust-gas aftertreatment systems — DPF, TWC, EGR, and SCR — through Mid SAPS technology.
• Applied in engines with extended (Long Life) and conventional oil-change intervals.

Applications

Suitable for engines using liquefied natural gas (LNG) and LPG petroleum gas. Designed for gasoline and diesel engines meeting Euro IV and Euro V standards in a wide fleet of cars, light SUVs, minibuses, and light trucks from European and other manufacturers. Recommended for use in Daimler, BMW, and VW engines with additional oil requirements. Not suitable for use in heavy trucks and similar vehicles.
