MANNOL Formula Excel SAE 5W-40 API SN is a universal, fully synthetic engine oil for modern diesel and petrol engines, including direct-injection engines with and without turbocharging and those equipped with pump injectors (Pumpe-Düse).

Performance and protection

• The synthetic base and additive package are intended to support anti-scuffing, anti-wear, and anti-friction performance.
• Detergent and dispersant properties combined with high thermal-oxidative stability are intended to fight deposit formation and keep engine components clean through the oil-change interval.
• Reduced HTHS viscosity and anti-friction properties are intended to support fuel economy.
• The synthetic base and depressant additives are intended to support low-temperature starting through turnability and pumpability, reducing starting wear.
• The extended viscosity-temperature range is intended to support engine operation across conditions — cold start, city and highway driving, increased loads, and high ambient temperatures.
• High thermal-oxidative stability is intended to support resistance to aging.
• Compatible with DPF, TWC, EGR, and SCR exhaust-aftertreatment systems through Mid SAPS technology.

Applications

Suitable for engines with extended oil change intervals (Long Life) and conventional engines, including those running on LNG or LPG. Designed for petrol and diesel engines meeting Euro IV and Euro V standards across cars, light SUVs, vans, and light trucks from European and other manufacturers. Recommended for use in Daimler, BMW, and VW engines with additional oil requirements.
